To add Windows, Linux, or another operating system to your Mac, Parallels Desktop creates a virtual machine (VM) or a virtual copy of your current Windows PC inside your Mac. You can then install Windows in the virtual machine, just as you would install any operating system on a regular computer. Run multiple OSes at the same time, all on your Mac. Parallels isn’t the cheapest option or the one that gives you the best performance, but with a few reservations, I’d say it’s still the best way to run Windows on a Mac for most people, if.
Parallels Switch Back To Mac
I am trying to install Parallels that I torrented, and the Readme file says this which I'm having a hard time understanding:
---
Mojave note: failed to install from the DMG-within-the-DMG, and after manually copying the hidden Parallels app to /Applications and making it visible with
chflags nohidden /Applications/Parallels Desktop.app
codesign --sign - --force --deep /Applications/Parallels Desktop.app
Then double-click Parallels Desktop.app to install.
----
1. 'failed to install from the DMG-within-the-DMG' What does this mean?
2. 'making it visible with chflags no hidden....' what does making it visible mean?
