I have already sent a request to our school's IT department to register the echo with it's MAC address in hopes that it might solve the issue, but does anyone have any other ideas? UPDATE: I got it working. IT was able to authenticate the echo dot, and, while it still took some fiddling, I got the echo working. Thanks for all of your ideas. The wireless MAC address for your Echo can be found at the bottom of the Echo Setup screen in the Alexa app.
For the smoothest setup experience, please follow our guide before powering on your new Amazon device.
This guide currently applies to the Amazon Echo, Dot, Tap, Fire Stick and Fire TV.
